π¨π¨π¨Location Change π¨π¨π¨
Update:
There has been a slight change in the focus for the βNo ICE in Our Hotelsβ rallies, through October. We will continue to gather at the roundabout at Waterfront Park, in front of Hotel Indigo, as we have received credible information that ICE agents have stayed there.
However, we will no longer be encouraging protests of the nearby AC Hotel Vancouver Waterfront, due to information provided by the hotelβs local ownership. βWe do not have ICE agents staying here,β said General Manager Terry Goldman. To his knowledge, the hotel does not, and has not, accepted any group reservations for ICE agents to stay at the hotel. He said he has told his staff to decline any such group booking requests in the future. Goldman says there is no way for the hotel management to know if individual ICE agents register as guests there.

Join us to say, βNo ICE in Our Hotels,"" in front of a local hotel where ICE agents have been reportedly staying.
Weβll rally to say we oppose masked ICE agents grabbing our neighbors off our streets and deporting them, often without due process. Weβll show we stand strong against ICE agents sending our neighbors to overcrowded detention centers, often far from their families, and from their lawyers.
Due to reports of ICE agents staying at a new location in Vancouver, we will be changing the location of our weekly βNo ICE in Our Hotelsβ rallies accordingly, starting Wednesday, Oct. 15, through the rest of October. The rallies will now be near the Hotel Indigo at the Vancouver Waterfront. We will rally at the roundabout at Waterfront Park, at the intersection of Waterfront Way and Esther Street. The rallies will continue to be from 5-6 pm Wednesdays.
Join us at these rallies to say we stand strong against masked, unidentified ICE agents grabbing our neighbors and throwing them into unmarked vans. Bring signs and noisemakers saying we wonβt stay silent as our neighbors are disappeared.
